Congratulations to Tammy Kapeller, Joe Nunes and Alice Rosenblatt, the new members of the 2012-2013 Nominating Committee.

Tammy is senior vice president, Technology & Administration, for Generali USA Life Reassurance Company in Kansas City, Mo. Joe, representing the Canadian constituency, is president of Actuarial Solutions Inc., Tecumseh, Ontario. Alice is retired and had worked in the health benefits arena.

New members join Anne Button, committee chair; Larry Stern, vice chair; Nancy Behrens; Darrell Knapp; John Lloyd; and Godfrey Perrott.

This was the first time the SOA had an open call for Nominating Committee members, and 30 members demonstrated interest in the three available positions. Read about the required skills, time commitment and responsibilities.

The Nominating Committee is responsible for nominating candidates for election in accordance with SOA policies and may establish guidelines for conducting elections consistent with SOA policies. The full charge can be found in the SOA Bylaws, Article IX, Section 2.

The SOA extends a warm welcome to the new committee members and thanks all Nominating Committee applicants. It also thanks the members of the 2012-2013 Nominating Committee, the group of nine who will help shape the future of the SOA and the actuarial profession.
