I. Permanent International Centers
The following locations are permanent test centers where supervisors and exam facilities are regularly provided for the May and November examinations for Exams FM, M, C, 8, and EA exams. The Society takes responsibility for establishing and maintaining the following centers for each exam period. Exam P/1 has its own set of exam centers that can be found in the Exam P/1 Information and Applications.

II. Other International Centers
For any other location than those listed above, the candidate has the responsibility of locating the services of a supervisor and examination facilities acceptable to the SOA. The supervisor must be:
- a member of the Society of Actuaries, or
- a member of the Casualty Actuarial Society, or/li>
- a member of the Institute of Actuaries (England), or
- a member of the Faculty of Actuaries (Scotland), or
- a tenured academic or a qualified testing professional
- if none of the above is available, approval may also be given to the local testing representative at the United States Embassy
Please contact Jane Lesch, Examination Services, for a Supervisor's Form. When the services of a supervisor are secured, please have that person complete the Supervisor's Form and return it to our office before the deadline: APRIL 1 for the Spring examinations and SEPTEMBER 24 for the Fall examinations. After the SOA has given its approval of the supervisor, the candidate's registration will proceed as usual.
Registration Procedures
- The candidate at an international center is no longer required to pay an additional fee to cover mailing and handling costs of examination materials.
- Applications, fees, and supervisor forms (where required) must be received by our office no later than APRIL 1 for the Spring examinations and SEPTEMBER 24 for the Fall examinations. All items must be received by the above dates; otherwise, the registration will not be accepted and all fees will be promptly refunded.
- Tickets of admission will be sent only upon the completion and fulfillment of all registration requirements as stated herein and on the application form.
- Late registrations will not be accepted under any circumstances.
