President–Elect, Vice President and Board Candidates
Dear Fellow:
Voting in the annual Board of Directors election is your opportunity to influence the future of the SOA and the actuarial profession. A successful election requires the participation of every eligible voter, including YOU!
Here is some helpful information to assist you in the voting process:
- Understand the structure of the ballot and proxy. There are four categories: the Proxy for Special Meeting and the three ballot categories of President–Elect, Vice–President, and Elected Board Member. You can vote in any or all of the four areas.
- Get to know the candidates. Candidates were asked to briefly describe the type of work they currently do, their professional background and their volunteer experience. In addition, each candidate answered a strategic question under "Vision Statement." Within each category on the ballot, all candidates were asked the same question. This gives you comparable data to make an informed choice.
- Remember, every vote counts... and it doesn't have to take a lot of time. SOA elections are typically close; your vote matters. There are 19 candidates spread over the three ballot categories. Please take a few minutes to review the enclosed material and vote, even if it's for one person or in just one category. You're in control of how much detail to read and time to spend.
Look for the vote symbol for a quick way to check the candidates' "Vision Statements."
This is your opportunity to make a difference. Please vote!
Sincerely,
