SOA Distance Learning Subscription: "Virtual" Access to Quality, Cost–effective Continuing Education

How would you like to meet your continuing education requirements for less than $350 a year?

SOA is offering pension actuaries access to dozens of web–based and audio learning assets for one, low annual fee. These programs can be used to meet Joint Board requirements for core and non-core continuing education credits and save you hundreds of dollars! Best of all, the cost of delivering Enrolled Actuary (EA) questionnaires, CD ROMS and presentation visuals is included in the subscription fee! No additional or hidden charges!

There is no substitute for the networking and intrinsic educational value of “live” instruction, but CD ROMS and web–based training (WBT) are excellent alternatives for professionals whose ability to travel to meetings is limited. Since SOA has a variety of subjects in its distance learning archives, pension actuaries can find programs well suited to their specific area of practice. Using distance–learning tools to supplement “live” continuing education lets you create a highly relevant and cost-effective course of study.

Subscriber Benefits:

• 3 CD ROMS (Up to 12 hours of core or non–core credit) from the SOA collection of spring and annual meetings, and webcasts.  Subscribers may wait to order CD ROMS from recent meetings and webcasts as they become available.  Handouts for all programs are included on the disc, however handouts for printing can be found on the Handouts Web page. 
  
  
• Enrolled Actuary questionnaire and credit processing. Questionnaires for the spring and annual meeting sessions will be sent electronically (when available). Questionnaires for webcasts are included on the disc.  Subscribers seeking EA credit must return completed questionnaires to the SOA for processing.  Certificates of completion are sent back to you.
  
• Unlimited use of the SOA Virtual Campus. Subscribers are enrolled in all programs and can obtain core/non-core credit from those eligible courses.

How Do I Subscribe?
Return the attached application form with a check by mail or credit card information by fax or e–mail to the SOA. You will be enrolled for one year in all courses on the SOA Virtual Campus. Subscribers receive by e–mail, instructions to access the virtual campus courses and meeting sessions on CD ROM.  Presentation visuals (when available) are located on the SOA website and EA questionnaires will be sent via e–mail once requested from customerservice@soa.org
