The Actuarial Practice Forum (APF)
This electronic journal delivers information to the general actuarial readership through
in–depth papers. The APF publishes papers on a range of topics, including practice methodologies, product design, regulatory issues and other areas to help practitioners in their daily work.
Actuarial Research Clearing House (ARCH)
ARCH, a publication sponsored by the SOA Education and Research Section, is an informal communication providing current actuarial research to friends and members of the actuarial community. Its primary goal is the speedy dissemination of current thinking and aids to research.
The Actuary Magazine
Published every other month, this four–color, glossy magazine gives readers the information they need to stay on top of actuarial trends and enhance their business career development. Content features in–depth and timely articles that focus on all actuarial practice areas. In addition, readers will find articles on SOA education initiatives, trends in international business and read interviews with actuaries paving the way into new areas of practice.
The Future Actuary
The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Society of Actuaries (SOA) candidates' newsletter, The Future Actuary, reaches thousands of actuarial candidates yearly taking the first four jointly administered CAS/SOA exams. Published quarterly, readers gain insights on topics like career development, nontraditional careers, study tips, and professional conduct and ethics.

The North American Actuarial Journal (NAAJ)
The North American Actuarial Journal (NAAJ) is the premier publication of the Society of Actuaries as its only refereed journal. In addition to the Society membership, it serves the international, scientific, academic, business and governmental communities, making it the most widely distributed actuarial journal. The NAAJ scientifically addresses the domestic and international problems, interests and concerns of actuaries, their customers, and public policy decision makers. NAAJ manuscript submissions are welcomed.
Section Newsletters
The SOA's professional interest sections publish newsletters consisting of short– to medium–length articles of specific interest to section members. Newsletters provide practical information for the working actuary, articles on trends that impact sections and news about section activities.
SOA News Today
Keep electronically updated on SOA members in the news, SOA strategic initiatives, upcoming seminars, research initiatives, and more. This e–newsletter delivers the tools and resources to promote you and the actuarial profession. Actuarial Textbooks and Related Book Publications
The SOA publishes actuarial science textbooks on a variety of professional interest topics. Authors are subject matter experts in their respective fields. Order these textbooks by completing the Bookstore Order Form. SOA members can also receive a discount on specific professional development and actuarial science books. The SOA has partnered with John Wiley & Sons, Inc. to secure discount rates for members on professional development books.
