Troy Holm
Troy is from Kenosha, WI and graduated from the Univ of WI–Whitewater. He received his Associateship of the Society of Actuaries July of 2004. Currently he is works as an Assistant Vice President of Managed Care for Trustmark Insurance Company in Lake Forest Illinois. His main responsibilities are network discount analysis and cost of care containment. Prior to working at Trustmark, he was an actuary for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Wisconsin, a WellPoint company. There he was involved in pricing, reserving and network analysis.
Troy lives in Pleasant Prairie, WI, is married and has 2 daughters.
Graham Schmidt
Graham is an Associate in the SOA since 2004, Graham Schmidt has served as the Vice President of EFI Actuaries for the past four years–where he manages client relationships, provides consulting services and heads up EFI's technical OPEB practice. Graham has also been a frequent speaker at various conferences, on topics including Financial Economics, Asset–Liability Management, GASB45/OPEB issues, and the use of Stochastic Modeling in pension funds. Most recently he was a featured speaker on Private vs. Public Sector actuarial issues at a special symposium sponsored by the California State Association of County Retirement Systems and at a major Liability–Driven Investing (LDI) conference held at the Harvard Club in New York City.
In addition to his work with the Young Actuarial Network, Graham has recently been appointed to serve on the Society's Retirement Plans Experience Committee (RPEC). He received undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences from Johns Hopkins University in 1998. In his spare time, Graham enjoys playing soccer and competing in triathlons, and you can sometimes find him throwing down the wax behind the turntables at your local speakeasy.
