Nominations Process Task Force

The SOA has established a Nominations Process Task Force as part of its commitment to continuous review and updating of its procedures. This Task Force is charged with considering the current process for nominees to be placed on the election ballot and providing recommendations to the SOA Board of Directors.

As part of its work, the Task Force will research previous SOA governance studies, discuss the current nominations and ballot creation processes and conduct a comparative review of processes used by other associations (within and outside of the actuaries profession). Throughout their work, the Task Force will consult with the Chair of the SOA's Nominating Committee, SOA legal counsel and governance staff as needed.

The Task Force values member input and invites members to share their opinions about the current nominations process for Board of Directors positions. If you wish to submit your thoughts, please share your feedback at elections@soa.org
