2014 Deceased Member — R. Michael Brodrick

In Memory of R. Michael Brodrick

R. Michael Brodrick passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 with his wife of 38 years by his side. He was 72.

Born in Fort Wayne, Brodrick graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1963 and was an executiveactuary with Lincoln National Corporation for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Society of Actuaries, Former Commodore of the Clear Lake Yacht Club, a Captain in the U.S. Army, treasurer for board of Home Bound Meals and volunteered at Lutheran Hospital. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed sailing, golfing, playing Booray Poker and Scrabble. "He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and subtle wit."

Surviving are his wife, Terri Fulk Brodrick of Fort Wayne; son, Scott Samuel (Audrey) Brodrick of Naperville, Ill.; daughter, Janell Susan (Tristan) Cunio of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; brothers, Daniel L. (Jane) Brodrick of La Crosse, Wis., and John R. Brodrick of Fort Wayne; sisters, Cheryl M. (John) Grannan, Marlene A. Cramer, and Patty L. (Mike) Goggin all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Ian Michael Brodrick, Lane Elizabeth Brodrick, Brodrick Stephen Cunio, and Augustine Samuel Cunio. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maura S. Brodrick; and parents, Robert O. and Marguerite M. Brodrick.
