Manuel Francisco Castells, 71, of Lambertville, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014, at his home. He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He is formerly of Tenafly, NJ before moving to Lambertville eleven years ago. He was a member of Temple Kehilat Hanahar in New Hope, PA.
Castells was Partner and CFO at Kwasha Lipton Consulting Actuaries in Fort Lee, NJ for 32 years before retiring in 1998. He was an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. He was also member of the conference of Consulting Actuaries, and served on the board of the Association of Private Pension and Welfare Plans for many years.
Manuel was preceded in death by his brother Jaime. He is survived by Jeannie Castells, his wife of 32 years, his daughters Carmen Castells Schofield and her husband Charles of Piperville, PA, Catalina Castells of Buckingham, PA, his granddaughter Rowan Marvil, and siblings Mary Rose, Teresa, Carmen, Carlos and Onofre, and a host of nieces and nephews.
