In Memory of Daniel J. Keough

Daniel Joseph "Dan" Keough, of Simsbury, CT, formerly of North Kingstown, RI, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while playing soccer with friends in Connecticut on Monday, May 18, 2015. He was 29. Born in Warwick, RI, he was the beloved son of Joseph "J" and Donna (Kosior) Keough.

Keough graduated from North Kingstown High School and received a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Bryant University. Dan started his actuarial career as a summer intern at Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company. The following summer he was an intern at Hartford Financial Services Group. Following his graduation from Bryant he joined the actuarial training program at The Hartford. He later worked at Prudential Financial. He was a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

Dan enjoyed nature, hiking, kayaking and was an avid New England sports fan. He volunteered with Read to a Child in CT and the RI Special Olympics. Daniel lived life fully; worked hard and played hard. He cherished his many friends and family and always looked for the good in people.

Besides his parents, Dan is survived by his brother, Patrick Keough of CT; his sister, Lauren Keough of NE; his ninety-six year old grandfather, Joseph P. Keough of Johnston, RI; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Virginia M. Keough and Stanley and Stella Kosior.
