Exams taken at Prometric Testing Centers

Food

No food is allowed in any Prometric Computer-Based Testing (CBT) exam room, unless preauthorized through Testing Accommodations. 

Beverages

Exam Candidates are permitted to bring water into the Testing Room in a clear container without having to get an accommodation. No other beverages are permitted. Candidates may not bring in more than one container at a time. 

The container must be completely transparent, regardless of container color. If the container includes a lid, that may be a solid color. All labeling on the container must be removed prior to entry. The water bottle will be inspected by the Prometric TCA’s for notes or other test aids and to ensure it meets the specified requirements.

Should the container not meet the requirements outlined, the candidate will be required to put it in their locker and will not be allowed to take it into the test room. 

Exams taken in paper/pencil format outside of Prometric Testing Centers

Only beverages are permitted in the examination room. For the consideration of other candidates please do not bring beverages that may cause a disturbance.

No food, except as required for medical situations and with preauthorization provided, will be permitted.

Candidates requiring testing accommodations must submit a written request with their application. Written requests should be directed to the Testing Accommodations at the Society of Actuaries.
