The SOA is accepting applications for the predictive analytics pilot certificate program. It provides practical instruction, soft skills integration, and a level of rigor consistent with current SOA credentials. This pilot program consists of online learning with six e-learning modules and in-person, two-day seminar. Participants who complete the rigorous, project-based assessment will receive a certificate in predictive analytics from the SOA. This pilot program will be conducted over five months and will have a maximum of 25 participants.
Participants of the pilot program must be FSAs in good standing; have least five years of experience in the use of models and basic analytic techniques; and receive employer support to participate. Submissions closed Feb. 10, 2017.
Participants will be notified by mid-March if selected and the program will begin in April. This program is $2,900 USD and excludes travel expenses for the seminar (U.S. location TBD).
Based on the pilot program's findings, the SOA's Professional Development Committee will make a recommendation to the SOA Board about additional certificate programs.
