William S. Bade, FSA, MAAA

William S. Bade is a consulting actuary with the Tampa office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2015 after spending 10 years in the worksite benefits industry. Prior to joining Milliman, Bade served as vice president of national account management at Allstate Benefits, a subsidiary of The Allstate Corporation. In that role, he was responsible for the management of national account premium administration, proposals, contracts and new client implementation. Through his exposure to distribution and marketing, Bade developed a passion for anticipating market trends, distribution opportunities and the interaction between market trends and product pricing. He also served as a health valuation actuary at Allstate Benefits for more than five years. During this time, he was responsible for worksite valuation, annual reporting, budgeting, cash flow testing, experience studies and profit improvement initiatives. Bade's product development, marketing and valuation experience at Allstate Benefits included a broad range of individual and group voluntary products such as accident, cancer, critical illness, disability, hospital indemnity, term life and universal life. He provides a unique blend of project management, creative problem solving and excellence in core pricing and valuation throughout the customer life cycle.

Nancy J. Hubler, ASA, MAAA

Nancy has more than 35 years of experience as a health actuary with three different Blues organizations. Her actuarial experience includes individual, small group and large group pricing, reserving, annual statement work, line of business reporting, forecasting, trend analysis, provider contracting support and legislative and regulatory analysis. She has additional experience in product development, benefit coding and creation of benefit certificates and group contracts. Nancy is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She is currently a member of the Academy’s Health Solvency Work Group and serves as liaison between the Health Section and Financial Reporting Councils of the Society of Actuaries.

Annette V. James, FSA, EA, FCA, MAAA
State of Nevada Division of Insurance

Annette James is the lead actuary with the Nevada Division of Insurance. Her responsibilities include providing technical assistance to the division’s Corporate and Financial Affairs Section which is charged with financial oversight of Nevada’s domestic insurance companies, supporting rate and product review for life and health insurance products and representing the division at public hearings with regard to life and health insurance issues. Prior to joining the Nevada Division of Insurance in 2006, she was a consulting actuary for over 18 years.

Todd Sherman, FSA, MAAA

Todd Sherman is a specialist leader with Deloitte Consulting LLP. Sherman has over 15 years of experience in the accident and health insurance industry. He has been with Deloitte for five years and focuses on the valuation of health reserves and liabilities for health plans and insurance companies. In his time with Deloitte, Sherman has managed various projects including audit engagements with Deloitte & Touche, Medicare advantage bid desk review for the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, mergers and acquisitions due diligence for health plans and insurance companies, pricing, arbitration support and health care reform strategy for regional health plans as well as model validation and stress testing for health insurance companies. Prior to joining Deloitte in April of 2011, Sherman was employed by a national health insurance company where he worked in a variety of areas, including reserving and valuation, pricing and underwriting.
