Description

The Society of Actuaries (SOA) is pleased to offer the SOA Candidate Connect program tailored for actuarial candidates pursuing the ASA designation, providing candidates with information, inspiration and networking opportunities. The full-day program is packed with informative workshops and sessions.

This is a unique opportunity for pre-ASA candidates to:

  • Gain insights into the actuarial profession and the industry from top-notch speakers
  • Learn about what qualities employers are seeking and how to prepare for your actuarial career
  • Build your professional network by connecting with SOA members, fellow candidates and employer representatives

Who Should Attend

Pre-ASA students/candidates who are taking SOA exams to attain the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation. A basic knowledge of actuarial practice is preferred. Whether you are a student, career changer, job seeker or entry-level actuary, Candidate Connect is committed to supporting future actuaries on your path to becoming an actuary.

Registration Fees

The SOA will sponsor candidate attendance and waives meeting costs, however please be advised a $25 administrative fee will be charged upon registration. Attendees are responsible for their transportation and lodging.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations and refund requests must be received in writing. Full refunds will be granted on written requests received no later than ten business days before the meeting. No refunds will be granted if the request is received within ten business days of the meeting. If for any reason a meeting is cancelled, the Conference Organizers will refund the total registration fee. However, the Conference Organizers will not be responsible for any travel, hotel accommodations or other costs incurred. Cancellation requests should be submitted to candidate@soa.org.
