Brexit, Donald Trump and Big Data; these issues, and others, are beginning to cause rapid changes around the world and in the investment industry. What does this all mean for investors over the next few years, as well as the next several decades? Experts at this year's symposium will provide insight into these questions, and more, that will impact your work and your decisions in the near future.

The Investment Symposium is a day-and-a-half long seminar that will focus on the issues and questions faced by investors and risk managers, especially related to insurance companies and retirement plans. Presenters will discuss the big picture issues and explore practical solutions to today's challenges. Experts will share new approaches to portfolio management and cutting-edge research in asset-liability management. Technology, regulation and the economic environment will also be considered. Presenters will aim to create a good framework for investment decision making. This year, the SOA is pleased to welcome Steven Levitt, co-author of Freakonomics, and Bluford Putnam, managing director and chief economist at CME Group, as keynote speakers.  Academics, practitioners and leaders in the actuarial profession, as well as the wider investment world, will share their thoughts in a combination of concurrent and general sessions.
