Description
Recent municipal bankruptcies have called into question the sanctity of accrued pension benefits regarding fiscal distress in plan Sponsors.
The cities of Detroit, MI and Stockton, CA have recently emerged from Chapter 9 with different approaches towards accrued retiree benefits. Puerto Rico is expected to address its accrued pension liabilities as part of its imminent financial restructuring. This webcast will explore the nature of municipal bankruptcy proceedings under U.S. law and its potential impact on accrued pension benefits.
How the live webcast works and what it includes
You do not need any special equipment. On May 24, 2017, before 2:00 p.m. ET you will be sent detailed webcast instructions via email including the Web address for accessing the presentation. Any handouts that are available will also be sent. You will follow along with both the slide presentation and the audio portion of the broadcast over the Internet.
