Description

Over the past decade, an increasing number of corporate pension plans have adopted a de-risking glide path as their investment strategy. However, this approach is not universal and has lately been met with some criticism. This webcast will help investment and pension actuaries understand the current state of de-risking glide paths by reviewing and critiquing the theoretical foundations of glide paths from both investment and corporate finance perspectives, discussing common glide path designs and addressing "real life" implementation considerations and challenges. A similar session will be presented at the SOA Annual Meeting in October.
