Program Overview

The 2018 Society of Actuaries Universal Life Insurance seminar will provide attendees with an overview of the development of Universal Life through the perspective of the Brazilian insurance market.  Our international speaker panel will provide background into the evolution of Universal Life, practical risk management insights, and discussion of the issues that were overcome by actuaries, regulators, and insurers to address stakeholder needs. 

Session topics include:

  2. Sales and distribution
  3. Design, pricing and implementation
  4. Lessons learned

Presentations will be in English with simultaneous translation into Portuguese

Educational Objectives

The goal of the seminar is to provide attendees with critical insight into the mechanics of selling, pricing and administering Universal Life. At the conclusion of the seminar, attendees will have an understanding of universal life design, pricing and implementation and a greater understanding of challenges insurers face in satisfying stakeholders including agents, customers, shareholders and regulators.
