Simpa Baiye, FSA, CFA, MAAA, is a director with PwC's actuarial services practice in New York and has over 16 years of experience in the annuity industry. His experience includes product development, asset-liability management, financial reporting and derivatives structuring.
Baiye has served as a member of the Academy of Actuaries invested asset working group and is the incoming chairperson of the Society of Actuaries Financial Reporting Section Council. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a charter holder of the CFA Institute. Baiye holds a master’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Waterloo.

Daniel Heyer, FCAS, received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University in 1991, his master’s degree in statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1993 and his certificate in quantitative finance in 2005. He is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and has been recognized by the Society of Actuaries for his papers on both reserve valuation and reinsurance decision making. Heyer’s professional career includes appointments as controls engineer, statistician, actuary and credit derivative analyst. He joined Nationwide Financial Services in 2002 and is responsible for hedging financial guarantees embedded in VAs and other insurance contracts.
