This session will be presented by two veterans in the insurance industry: David Ingram and Roger Nishihara.
In 2005, Ingram brought his broad perspective of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) into S&P rating and helped S&P to integrate a view of insurer ERM in their financial strength rating. He will talk about which aspects of ERM can link to strategy and how that depends on the way the insurer practices ERM. Ingram will share stories he has seen in the insurance industry, and discuss three sets of risk management functions that any insurer ERM program might include:
- Individual risk management
- Aggregate risk management
- Risk reward management
Roger has more than 20 years of experience working at Tokio Marine Group, from marketing, finance and accounting, underwriting, and risk management etc. With his experience and broad knowledge of different areas at Tokio Marine, he will outline the application of ERM in Tokio Marine Group by citing actual cases in identification of emerging risks.
