Deepak Sachdeva, Senior Associate, Mercer India
Deepak is a highly experienced professional with an impressive 20-year career, which includes around 15 years specializing in US pension valuations. At Mercer, Deepak engages with clients from various industries, providing expertise in funding valuation under ERISA, pre-ERISA regulations, and accounting valuation under USGAAP (ASC 715) and IAS19R. He is also adept at conducting special accounting calculations like settlements and curtailments, in addition to supporting clients with non-discrimination testing and experience studies.
In his 15 years at Mercer, Deepak has spent a significant portion of his time—approximately one-third—in the Mercer Chicago office. His role there has been pivotal in aiding lead consultants and plan sponsors with insights on funded status, regulatory changes, and risk mitigation strategies.
Sreoshi Sarkar, Managing Director, Deloitte Consulting India Private Limited
Sreoshi is a Managing Director with Deloitte’s US Consulting Practice and leads the Actuarial and Insurance Solutions practice in Deloitte Consulting India Private Limited. She brings with her over 20 years of experience working in the pension and employee benefits space serving multinational and listed companies in United States, India and the Southeast Asia region. Her experience includes valuations for US pension plans, post-retirement medical plans and other long-term retirement benefit plans, pension risk management strategies. She has deep experience in designing funding strategies in accordance with US funding regulations and also carrying out accounting valuations under USGAAP and IAS19. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Actuaries of India.
