As accelerated underwriting (AUW) programs have grown increasingly prevalent in the life insurance industry, new evidence and data sources have also rapidly evolved. This session explores how carriers can effectively prioritize across different multiple data sources, especially to manage redundant or conflicting information. We will share findings around how new evidence sources, such as electronic health records (EHRs) and wearables data, can refine the risk assessment and decisioning process while improving the application experience. Our panel will share research findings covering: •Comparison of data and measured values found across EHRs and other third-party data sources, and where there are gaps and overlaps between evidence sources. •Evidence of physical activity, sleep, and heart rate data to improve risk segmentation on top of the existing underwriting considerations From this session, attendees will better understand the interplay between data sources and which new data and scoring tools can improve risk assessment.
