Cash Balance Plans for Partnerships – June 4
This webcast will explore cash balance plans for partnerships (such as law firms) and small businesses. Unlike most corporate plan sponsors, in these plans, the plan participants and the plan sponsors are often the same group. As a result, these plan sponsors often have different stakeholders, objectives and considerations than corporate plans. In particular, these plan sponsors are using cash balance plans, maximizing tax deferral in addition to providing a valuable employee benefit. We will explore how plan design, regulations and investment strategy interact in this particular market.
Cash Balance Plans for Corporations - June 11
This webcast will explore cash balance plans sponsored by corporations, hospitals and other entities subject to GAAP accounting. The presenters will quickly revisit the main features of these plans and focus on derivative-based investment strategies available to hedge complex interest crediting rates, that often occur in these plans, such as the 30-year treasury yield or rates involving floors. They will also explore the interplay between actuarial assumptions and investment strategies.
