While many single-employer plan sponsors are focused on plan de-risking and liability hedging, growth assets remain a large part of many plans’ asset allocations. These are critical for closing the asset-liability deficit, funding future accruals and offsetting administrative expenses, even in well-funded plans. This webcast will address the breadth of growth assets (not just public equities), and the construction and evolution of the growth portfolio depending on plan sponsor objectives and plan characteristics. Using an interactive discussion format, the presenters will also examine different approaches to portfolio construction, emphasizing the trade-offs between return and volatility, liquidity, time horizon, and other investment and non-investment considerations.
