A Framework for Managing Your Career Webcast

This dynamic session is designed for early-career professionals who want to move beyond “going with the flow” and to start actively shaping their professional journey. You will gain an actionable framework for career management, built on real-world insights from leaders with decades of experience in mentorship and organizational leadership. The insights include prioritized considerations and recommendations to inform your career menu and shape your career compass, which is directed by your preferences and goals for income, role types, career track, and how your personal and work lives interface.

The session will also explore the foundational concepts of personal brand, effectively getting stuff done, professional networking, and, ultimately, career ownership. The content is derived from the faculty’s experience in managing their own careers and decades of mentorship and personal development across a range of both people and organizational leadership roles. Your career won’t manage itself. The broader goal of the session is to enhance your consciousness of possible career management approaches, inspire you to actively manage your career, and to help you position yourself for success in the actuarial profession.
