This is a five-day webinar targeting pre-ASA students and others who are new to modeling work. We will cover modeling basics, including model lifecycle/workflow/collaboration, data and assumptions, model limitations and simplifications, documentation and communications, new and emerging modeling tools and the role of software engineering and AI in the modeling process. Attendees will be asked to bring their own models to the webinar, which will be further developed through daily homework assignments. Each session will consist of viewing a pre-recorded video, followed by a group discussion about the video and homework assignments.
