Candidate Message
Dear Members of the Society of Actuaries,
Thank you for participating in the Board election process. I am interested in Board service because I believe I can contribute most at times of significant change, bringing strategic perspective, sound judgment and practical experience to help organizations adapt and remain relevant. I will be transitioning from full-time executive roles in October 2026 after nearly 40 years across education, specialty chemicals and financial services. Early in my career, as a product engineer at Kodak in Australia, I recognized the shift from film to digital and proactively retrained as an actuary, well before digital imaging accelerated. That decision reflects my mindset of anticipating change and adapting with discipline. I would bring to the SOA Board the same pragmatic approach.
