Summary

Residents of Thailand show strong retirement engagement and confidence, supported by broad employer-plan access. However, gaps remain between planning and action, especially around saving early, health protection, and converting interest in guaranteed income into actual use.

Key Findings

  1. Retirement planning is widespread, with Prime Age Workers leading across most planning activities.
  2. Confidence is high, with 79% believing they have enough savings for retirement.
  3. Employer-plan participation is strong, with 90% having access and 78% currently contributing.
  4. Health and inflation are major concerns, especially chronic illness, healthcare costs, and rising prices.
  5. Interest in protection products is strong, with 72% considering lifetime annuities and high demand for critical illness coverage.
