Description: The Individual Life Experience Committee has completed their latest report on intercompany mortality experience by amount of insurance under standard individually underwritten issues.

Description: Are you 'dying' to learn about how the mortality data, submitted under the NAIC's Valuation Manual Experience Reporting Requirements (VM50 & VM51), is used? The SOA's Individual Life Experience Committee (ILEC) will describe the data validation 'experience' and explain on how the data eventually influences statutory valuation requirements. The presenters will also 'expose' attendees to the latest insights and observations in the data. Attend this session and learn how the SOA 'minds it's p's and q's' in individual life insurance. At the conclusion of the session, attendees will be able to: - Describe the various types of SOA research that have been performed on the data collected under VM50 and VM51 - Describe the database, released by the SOA, that is compiled from the data collected under VM50 and VM51 - Explain the importance of data quality in VM50 submissions - Identify how the data that is submitted under VM50 would be used to determine Principle-Based Reserving requirement

Description: The presenters will cover the latest research undertaken by the Individual Life Experience Committee (ILEC). With several years of very robust individual life insurance experience data accumulated through the mandatory Statistical Agent data calls, this vast amount of data allows for various deeper dives into specific segments of business, such as large face amount, older age or juvenile. Speakers will cover studies the committee is currently involved in, future planned efforts, and results from a variety of sub-segments of business. Attendees will learn about emerging statistical techniques in scrubbing data, more refined quintile-grouped data segments, and interesting ways of conceptualizing how A/E results have changed from year to year.
