Description: In October 2011, a research report was released jointly by the Society of Actuaries Committee on Life Insurance Research, the Smaller Insurance Company Section and the Reinsurance Section regarding the challenges encountered by smaller insurers in obtaining life reinsurance. This article summarizes the findings of that research report.
