In Europe and Asia, longevity swaps are a much more established tool for risk transfer and optimizing asset-liability matching. Learn more about a variety of rules and regulations, especially Colorado’s proposed regulation requiring a governance and risk management framework for life insurance carriers’ use of external consumer data and information sources (ECDIS), and algorithms and predictive models using ECDIS. This Colorado proposal is more far-reaching than the requirements of other states like New York and Connecticut, who have put up guardrails for the use of new data sets and algorithms especially for underwriting. Description: Our understanding of the biology of aging is increasing rapidly, creating insight into how and why any organism is aging. Some of the mechanisms by which the process of aging occurs in mammals are sufficiently well understood that clinical trials targeting them in humans to improve later life health and longevity are now being undertaken.
