Enter the Apps for Actuaries Contest – You Could Win an iPad
The SOA recently launched a new website, AppsforActuaries, featuring mobile apps that have actuarial, business and personal functions. The idea is to provide a one-stop shop for a limited list from the thousands of apps available as a reference for SOA members.
The SOA Technology Section would like to expand this list with original actuarial applications and is sponsoring an "Apps for Actuaries Contest." The section will award up to three iPads (one per person) to individuals with ideas for apps that best demonstrate the contest criteria. So get those creative techie juices flowing and win that iPad!
App ideas must be submitted no later than Friday, June 15, 2012. Winners will be announced August 1. You can find complete contest details at AppsForActuaries.org.
