This section was created to highlight technology's role in the actuarial profession and offer learning opportunities through seminars, meetings, research and implementation of technology in the workplace. Technology section members receive digital issues of Actuarial Technology Today, can access historical Technology Section webcasts, and can post in members-only LinkedIn discussion boards. Section members also receive a discount for Technology Section sponsored webcasts. Anyone who works in IT or has an interest in software for professional or personal use is welcome to join.

Updating the Vision and Mission Statement
The Technology Section Council had its annual meeting and worked on revising the section’s Vision and Mission Statements. The Section Chair, Ravi, will be sending out an email soon to all members.
Actuarial Innovation and Technology is the SOA's newest Strategic Research Initiative and has just been launched.
