About the Retirement Practice Community

The Retirement Practice Community brings together actuaries focused on retirement systems, social insurance, and public finance to share expertise and address emerging challenges. Formed by merging the former Retirement Section and Social Insurance and Public Finance Section, it offers a collaborative space for advancing policy discussions, best practices, and innovative solutions for retirement security.

Purpose Statement

To advance the actuarial profession’s role in retirement, social insurance, and public finance by delivering high-quality education, fostering influential research, and encouraging collaboration and leadership across all career stages.
