Halmstad Prize

 

The Halmstad Prize is administered by AERF and given annually for actuarial research in memory of David Halmstads significant contributions to that endeavor. This prize was awarded to Hans Gerber and Elias Shiu for their paper, Investing for Retirement: Optimal Capital Growth and Dynamic Asset Allocation, which was published in the North American Actuarial Journal, Volume 4, Number 2, April 2000. The Halmstad prize was presented to Hans Gerber at the Boston 2002 Annual Meeting. Unfortunately, Elias Shiu was unable to make the presentation.
