Anaheim and San Antonio 2004 Spring Meetings

 

Krzysztof Ostaszewski has done a great job of organizing sessions for both Spring Meetings in Anaheim and San Antonio.

In Anaheim, May 19–21, our section sponsored two sessions in addition to the breakfast. Krzysztof M. Ostaszewski led "Communication and Other Skills Critical For The Success Of The Profession In The Future" on Wednesday, May 19, with co–lecturers Valentina A. Isakina, and Catherine Konsky. On Thursday, May 20, Dale Yamamoto led the "2005 Education System Redesign" session which was moderated by Rohana S. Ambagaspitiya. Handouts from that session can be found at:
2005 Education System Redesign–Anaheim. Eli Donkar hosted a well–attended E&R Section Breakfast on Thursday, May 20.

In San Antonio, the section sponsored two sessions plus a breakfast. On Monday, June 14, from 10:30 a.m.–noon, Valentina Isakina and Mike Kaster talked about the new challenges facing the actuarial profession at the session entitled, "Actuarial Jobs at Risk." Tuesday, June 15, from 7:30–8:30 a.m. Mary Hardy hosted another well–attended E&R Section Continental Breakfast and from 2:00–3:30 p.m. both Mary Hardy and Warren Luckner led the "2005 Education System Redesign" session.
