Calling All Experts

The Marketing and Distribution Section is looking for experts. Are you particularly knowledgeable on a marketing or distribution topic? Perhaps you are well versed in bank distribution of annuities or specialized underwriting processes for nonqualified deferred compensation life insurance sales? Or perhaps you are up to speed on the differences between captive agent and independent channel variable product sales? If you have considerable experience in these or any other area dealing with the marketing and distribution of life insurance and annuity products, the MAD section council would like your help.

The help we are seeking is to tap into your views of the emerging hot topics in your area of expertise. This will take the form of a 5–10 minute phone discussion in most situations. The results of these discussions, however, may be to generate a session at an industry event or a timely article for the section newsletter (not necessarily to be presented or penned by the subject–expert volunteer).

As an additional benefit, as the section broadens its network of topical experts, everyone will have access to this list of "who knows what." None of us ever has too many people to talk to when questions arise. The entire section and SOA benefits!

The topics to be pursued are endlessly varied. Any process, channel or technology that affects the marketing and distribution of financial services products is fair game. So step up! Be heard! Let the section help trumpet the key issues facing our industry.
