Presenter Bio: Jason Hiquet, FSA, CERA, is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Actuarial and Insurance Solutions with over 15 years of Life and Annuity experience (3.5 in industry, 12 with Deloitte). Jason’s primary clients are large life insurers, whom he helps with LDTI-related actuarial modernization work, Gen AI, robotic process automation, data warehousing, risk/valuation/corporate reporting, and model reconciliation. Jason also leads several large insurance audits. He has served as a question writer for SOA exams for over a decade, and he has held positions on The Actuary Magazine editorial board and the former Entrepreneurship and Innovation Section Council.
Moderator Bio: Chris Smith, ASA, MAAA is an actuary based in San Diego, California. He brings a financial perspective to health and welfare strategy honed over seven years of client service and additionally works closely with Mercer’s Center for Health Innovation to help maintain their leading edge in the market. Chris invests an ample share of his free time in volunteer and mentorship efforts with the Society of Actuaries and more broadly to support those rising in the profession.
