India Editorial Group
Constituted to Develop India Specific Content for SOA
The Society of Actuaries (SOA) is today a global network of skilled actuaries—over 34,000 members in more than 100 countries and growing. It is recognized across the world for rigorous education that prepares individuals for risk management careers. There is a global recognition of credentials by employers, and the association provides career-long support, learning and advancement opportunities.
India is the most populous country in the world with a history of a small but active actuarial community. SOA is committed to being an integral part of the actuarial community in the country and over the last few years has taken small but decisive steps in supporting it. As part of our initiatives to have a greater local presence, there is a focus on reaching out and developing localised content across various media. To promote this endeavour the INDIA EDITORIAL GROUP has been set up comprising professionals who are pursuing the actuarial exam path while doing professional duties for various organisations.
The India Editorial Group comprises:
- Mahima Khandelwal, EYGDS
- Pulkit Pruthi, Accenture
- Mamta Patel, Chubb
- Seema Chaudhury, Metlife
- Bhavya Bapna, Chubb
- P Vrinda, Chubb
To begin with, the group has played an active role in developing content for this newsletter and will continue to do so for future editions. They will also provide inputs for all kinds of knowledge-related outputs to reach out to the student community at work, in colleges and in schools. The committee will be a pivot for integrating the global base of SOA with localised issues in India and develop content that highlights these.
