Society of Actuaries Releases Full-Year 2024 Diversity Report

August 6, 2025, Chicago, IL — The Society of Actuaries (SOA) has released its updated 2024 Diversity Report, now including data from January through December 2024, offering a full-year view of demographic trends across membership. This report continues the SOA’s commitment to advancing a more diverse and inclusive actuarial profession by tracking, measuring, and transparently communicating progress in key areas.

The SOA remains dedicated to ensuring all members and candidates experience equitable opportunities for entry, development, and leadership within the profession. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEIC) partners with SOA leadership and staff to support underrepresented communities, foster inclusive volunteer and leadership pathways, and promote research that serves both the profession and society at large.

Since 2015, the SOA has collected voluntarily submitted demographic data on race, ethnicity, and gender from its candidates and members, including those pursuing or holding ASA or FSA designations. This year’s report includes:
