The Society of Actuaries’ Committee on Post Retirement Needs and Risks and the Retirement Section are pleased to make available a report providing a framework of analyses and methods that various stakeholders can use to compare and assess strategies for developing lifetime retirement income. Within the framework, the authors describe a portfolio approach that integrates Social Security, investing, retirement savings, and home equity. The report was authored by Steve Vernon, Wade Pfau, and Joe Tomlinson.
