The session will also cover how the COVID period has impacted lapse/surrender behavior and the trends that we can expect going forward. Learn about various techniques of adjusting experience for the impact of COVID and the considerations in using such experience and setting a best-estimate assumption going forward. Description: Mental health and VBC have individually been buzzwords within the health community for many years, but rarely together. In this ‘ask the expert’ forum nothing is off limits, but these scintillating topics are a guarantee: unabated demand for mental health services post-pandemic, decreasing provider supply, rising provider burnout, access to care, management of chronic conditions, & medical/behavioral integration concepts including data fragmentation.

Description: This report covers the latest emerging trends in U.S. population mortality. The SOA relied upon data furnished by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Observations are based on the CDC’s recent release of 2021 mortality experience, along with prior mortality experience data from 1999 through 2020.
