Neurological mortality has been increasing with dementia-related deaths having gone up significantly in the last few decades. Dementia may play a contributing role in many risk factors, including physical decline, vulnerability to infections, falls and other injuries, bed rest complications, exacerbated comorbid conditions.1 This is the first research project the MLPSC has sponsored on this topic.
