The report, authored by Cathy Ho and Steve Elek, presents the results of a study of individual disability income (“IDI”) lapse experience in the United States between observation years 2000 and 2007. This is the first report in a two-part series that will present results of a study conducted jointly by LIMRA and the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and based on data provided by 12 individual disability income insurance writers.

Description: This document is the third Intercompany Study of the Society of Actuaries Long Term Care Experience Committee. Previous reports were published January 1995 and February 2000. This report, as well as the previous two, has data gathered that dates back to 1984. Data has been combined and analyzed from eighteen organizations 21 insurers that provided information to further the knowledge of long term care insurance.

Description: The Society of Actuaries SoA developed this research project to repeat and expand upon its “Group Medical Insurance Large Claims Database Collection and Analysis” study, which was published as a monograph in August of 1997. The general purpose of these studies is to discover and analyze factors affecting claim incidence rates and the distribution of claim sizes. This is the report for the database. Description: The Individual Life Experience Committee has completed their latest report on intercompany mortality experience by amount of insurance under standard individually underwritten issues. Description: The Group Life COVID-19 Mortality Survey gathers a high-level view of U.S. Group Term Life Insurance mortality results during the COVID-19 pandemic through September 2021, as compared to prior period baseline mortality results. This new report is an update to the survey report released in July 2021, which contained data through March 2021.
