Four tables have been produced age nearest birthday and age last birthday tables for both males and females. The tables have been produced for individual issue ages 0 through 99 on a 25–year select basis and for ultimate attained ages 25 through 110. There is a breakdown by smoking status and by policy size.

Description: Report on the first study conducted jointly by LIMRA International and the SOA Long Term Care Experience Committee. The study examines voluntary lapse and total termination activity in LTCI for calendar years 2000 and 2001. Overall, the results indicate that LTCI persistency has continued to improve however, the current improvement seems to be coming from the individual lines of business rather than the group lines.

Description: The Society of Actuaries and LIMRA have sponsored a U.S. Individual Disability Income Persistency Study. The report, authored by Cathy Ho and Steve Elek, presents the results of a study of individual disability income (“IDI”) lapse experience in the United States between observation years 2000 and 2007. This is the first report in a two-part series that will present results of a study conducted jointly by LIMRA and the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and based on data provided by 12 individual disability income insurance writers.

High face amounts are defined as $1 million and higher. The information in the tables was taken or derived from the data collected and used to produce the Milliman Industry Mortality Study and Analysis (MIMSA).

Description: The Society of Actuaries Group Annuity Experience Committee has completed this report, which presents the 2003 through 2006 calendar year experience of retired individuals in the United States who are covered under group pension contracts. The committee has also presented the results in pivot table format to allow readers to easily customize their analyses to suit their individual purposes. Description: This report, part of the Society of Actuaries [SOA] ‘Experience Studies – Business Practice Surveys,’ presents the results of a survey conducted by the SOA Committee on Life Insurance Mortality and Underwriting Surveys – Improving the New Business Process Survey Subcommittee. The survey examined the various changes U.S. and Canadian life insurance companies have recently made, or are considering making, to improve the new business process and to determine which changes were considered by the respondents to have had the most impact. Survey topics include the application process, changes to underwriting requirements, underwriting systems, underwriting resources, experience based on past changes, and policy delivery.
