Description: The Society of Actuaries (SOA) retained Milliman, Inc. (Milliman) to conduct a survey on the impact of COVID-19 on long-term care (LTC) insurance mortality, voluntary lapse, and morbidity experience. The results of this survey, which was conducted from August 2021 through September 2021, are presented in this report.

Description: The Society of Actuaries (SOA) Research Institute, LIMRA, Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) and TAI recently released an update to the U.S. Individual Life COVID-19 report series. This report is the third public release from this collaboration and contains the results of an excess mortality analysis for the four quarter of 2020. Data from 31 companies representing approximately 72% of the industry’s face amount inforce have been included in the analyses in this report. A total of 2.9 million death claims from individual life policies from 2015 through December 31, 2020 make up the basis of the analyses.
