Experience Studies – Group Life
The Group Life Insurance Experience Committee of the Society of Actuaries has completed the 2006 Group Term Life Mortality and Morbidity Study Report. Data were solicited from insurers regarding group term life insurance policies in force anytime during the study period of 1999 to 2001. For the first time, information is presented separately for individually billed (list billed) versus self administered (census maintained by the employer). In addition, the 2006 Study includes two Excel pivot tables – one for Life & Waiver, the other for Accidental Death & Dismemberment, which will enable companies to perform their own analysis to supplement the findings of this report.
