Come to Montreal in August for the Actuarial Research Conference
The University of Montreal will be the host of the 41st Actuarial Research Conference of the SOA, August 10–12, 2006, in Montreal, Canada. The annual ARC provides an opportunity for academics and practitioners to meet and discuss actuarial problems and their solutions.
Mr. Jean–Louis Masse, President of the International Actuarial Association, will give the inaugural talk entitled "On a global education system".
The ARC will be preceded by the first International Workshop on Gerber–Shiu Functions, August 7–8, at Concordia University, also in Montreal. The ARC will conclude with a discussion with a task force of the CIA on a report on a future education model for Canada.
Montreal is the second largest francophone city in the world; it is a very vibrant city, especially in the summer. With its European charm, its North–American modernism and its nightlife, it will attract you with its restaurants, street cafes, festivals and joie de vivre.

The 42nd Actuarial Research Conference will be held on the campus of Robert Morris University, August 8 – 11, 2007. Founded in 1921, RMU is a private, four–year institution with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and is home to an Advanced Undergraduate Actuarial Science program.
The main campus is located on 230 acres in Moon Township, 17 miles from downtown Pittsburgh and 10 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport. Watch for more information in the next few months.
