Location

The Westin Hotel O’Hare is located 4 miles from O’Hare (ORD). Estimated taxi fare is $15. Hotel parking is available for all Underwriting attendees. Overnight and daily self-parking for SOA attendees is $15 per day.

Reservations

Make your reservations online by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, at Westin O’Hare Reservations or by calling the hotel directly at 888-236-2427. Reservations made after this deadline are subject to space and rate availability. Please make sure you mention that you are attending the Society of Actuaries Underwriting Innovation Symposium.

Confirmation of your hotel reservation is issued by the hotel. If you have not received a confirmation number prior to your departure for Chicago, please call the hotel to make sure your reservation has been received.

Cancellations

Reservations must be canceled 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a one night’s room and tax charge.

A major credit card is required to make a reservation.

Health and Safety Protocols & Guidelines

The SOA is planning a live, in-person event in Rosemont, IL. Your health and safety are important to us, and we hope to see you in person. We will continue to evaluate and expand our protocols as medical recommendations evolve.

We have taken the following steps to ensure your safety:

• We will continue to monitor guidelines for health safety measures from the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Illinois, and Cook County. We are also working closely with the local community and hotel to follow applicable federal, state and local laws, adapting our plans accordingly and sharing updates with you along the way.
• Attendees will be required to produce proof of vaccine with final dose at least 14 days prior to the event, OR a negative, medically-observed COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within 3 days of arrival at the meeting. View the full policy here.
• Attendees will be sent a link from Share My Health to upload your proof of vaccination or negative test prior to the meeting. The deadline for uploading this information is Friday, July 15.
• Mask-wearing and social distancing may by implemented pending local protocols and procedures.
