2009-2013 Individual Life Insurance Mortality Experience Report

The Individual Life Experience Committee has completed their latest report on intercompany mortality experience by amount of insurance under standard individually underwritten issues. This includes study years 2009-2013. The Appendix to the report contains more detail on some of the results discussed in the report.

A new version of the report was published on 10/23/2017. A description of the changes made to the report can be found in its Preface.

The data files include the Excel pivot tables that underlie the results summarized in the report, and two CSV files for those wishing to do additional research.

Additionally, we have included a description of the data supporting this and other ILEC studies. The PDF file “ILEC Data Description” details how the data was collected, analyzed and cleansed, and provides additional details on many of the fields included in the report. The Excel worksheet “Appendix 1 - List of Data Elements” lists all the data elements included in the database, and provides more detailed information on these elements.

Please note that the 2015 VBT tables were developed using the voluntary data (i.e. data sources “ILEC 02-09” and “ILEC LSS 09”) included in the pivot tables and CSV files.
